Lengthy Investigation Leads to Larceny Arrest

Shelton woman charged with thefts from Oxford construction yard.

Police have arrested a Shelton woman who is accused of stealing metal and other items from a construction yard in Oxford.

Oxford Resident Trooper Michael Dyki completed a lengthy investigation on Thursday when he arrested Julie Kulikowski after obtaining a warrant from a judge in Derby.

Kulikowski, 28, of 786 Howe Ave., was charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree larceny. She was released on a $5,000 bond and is expected to be arraigned at Derby Superior Court on Feb. 23.

Both of the charges are felonies. Second-degree larceny is a Class C felony, the more serious of the two charges, and if convicted, Kulikowski could face between 1 and 10 years in prison and/or up to a $10,000 fine.
