To the Oxford taxpayers:

The current Town personnel policy dates back to 1993 and has not been amended since year 2000.  It and the present union contracts were inherited by First Selectman Temple. This BOF has been aware of some ambiguities in the present personnel policy and has addressed them as they arise. (check back mins.)

Past administrations, both republican and democrat, have chosen to overlook them and the present BOF is in the process of working with the current first selectman( Mr. Temple ) to bring them up to date. It is the duty of town government to ensure that the expenditure of town funds is done in accordance with the law and the labor agreements that are presently in effect.

Rest assured that the BOF with the BOS will work together to clarify the present policy and strive in future contract negotiations for policies that are both fair to the employees and the taxpayers that must shoulder the burden.
