Fundraiser tonight!

As some of you know, or just learning now, four students at Oxford High are being given a chance to do REAL astronomy research and are flying out to Caltech/NASA in CA to work with their collaborative astronomer to do their research and then presenting their research to the American Astronomical Society Meeting, a national astronomy meeting!! They are studying extremely faint, but active galaxies using ground and spaced based telescope data. Here is the program for more information http://nitarp.ipac.caltech.edu/ So here is the part they need help with. NASA will fund aportion of the travel, but can not fund two of the four students that are participating. As a way to raise money, the band, Gravity Pile and some Oxford High School teachers are performing at the Lake House in Seymour Thursday June 13 from 7pm-10pm. A suggested $5 donation will be collected at the door and part of the sales of the night will be donated to them at the end of the night. All funds will go toward travel for the students to participate in this AMAZING program!! Come join Gravity Pile for food, drinks and great music!! Its for a great cause!! Some of their music: Sunshine of your Love - Cream Breakdown - Tom Petty Magic Carpet Ride - Stephen Wolf Muse - Madness Wild Night - John Mellencamp ... and many more!! Thanks for your support! Hope to see you there!!
