OPR Golf Leagues Forming NOW

Oxford Parks and Recreation is currently forming 3 golf leagues to be played at the beautiful Golf Club at Oxford Greens. It’s not too early to register as there will be a limit to the number of people who can play on each league.  A Mixed League will play on Wednesday nights and on Thursday evenings we will have a Men’s League and a Ladies League.  All of the leagues will play nine (9) holes and tee times will begin at 4:00pm.  The leagues will consist of teams of 2 players. In the Mixed League, each team must have a man and a woman.  You can sign up as a team or sign up as a single and we will do our best to pair you with a teammate for the season.  The leagues will start on May 15th and 16th and will end in mid August.  The fee to join the league is $90 for Oxford residents and $100 for non residents.  That fee includes your set up with the USGA who will issue you a GHIN card with your official handicap.  The fee also includes the season ending banquet and prizes, as well as the organization and maintenance of the league’s operations by the Golf Course’s Pro Staff.  Greens fees will be $30 each week - cart is included.     For more info, or to register please call the Parks and Recreation 888-2543, Ext 3041, go to OxfordRec.com or e-mail parkandrec@oxford-ct.gov.

Great to see IMTI leading the way into the solar future! I went to that school specifically toRead More become a solar electrician. It was before they had a solar program, at the time it was the E-2 electrical course. I see America has a chance to build prosperity again if we will be forward-looking about our manufacturing and energy strategies. My company, Made In USA Solar LLC, aims to contribute to that in a small way, doing what we can by only installing materials made in USA. Congrats to IMTI on their ambitious solar plans!
