Heather Lawless, Education Director at Brookfield Craft Center; Marie Galbraith, Director of Education & Tours at the Mattatuck Museum, Waterbury; and Dorothy Peebles-Pelley Gallery, Director for the Oxford Cultural Arts Commission, will be the jurors for the major juried OCAC Showcase Exhibit scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 28th, 29th and 30th.
The Oxford Cultural Arts Commission sponsors monthly art exhibits in the meeting room at the Town Hall in Oxford featuring paintings in a wide variety of media. This juried showcase exhibit open to all media including photography and sculpture happens each September. More than 20 artists will display their artwork this year. Over $1,000 in prizes will be awarded.
The Exhibit will take place in the Meeting room at Oxford Town Hall 486 Oxford Road, Oxford, CT 06478 with a Gala Opening Friday Sept. 28th from 6 to 9 p.m., Sat. Sept. 29th and Sun. Sept. 30th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a variety of activities all weekend including music, theater samples, artist demonstrations, gallery tours for adults and kids.
