Oxford, CT - The Oxford Soccer League is hosting a clinic series for U5, U7, and U9 recreation level players, this spring. The clinics will develop and improve each player’s skills and creativity with the ball. Sessions will be directed by a professional soccer trainer and emphasize development of fundamental skills like dribbling, passing, receiving, and shooting. Players will also work on technical refinement and exposure to the tactical side of soccer through small-sided games and instructional scrimmages.
The Saturday morning sessions will run from April 27 through June 8, 2013 (6 sessions–no session on Memorial Day weekend) and are open to male and female players in the U5 (8/1/07 – 7/31/09,) U7 (8/1/05 – 7/31/07) and U9 (8/1/03 – 7/31/05) divisions.
The cost is $55 per player for the clinic series. Discounts are available for families registering multiple children for the clinics, and/or children for the indoor soccer league. A registration form is attached to this article, or you can print one from the league web site at Oxfordsoccerleague.net. Completed forms and payment are due by March 23, 2013. The OSL is looking for parent volunteers to assist the professional trainer in facilitating the sessions. Those interested can note that on the form, as well.
