Free Homeowner's & Commercial Property Owner's Solar Rebate Reviews Friday & Saturday, April 4 & 5

ESST, Energy Systems Sales and Training, LLC at 233 Mill Street in Waterbury will host two free events for homeowners and commercial property owners on solar energy costs, and potential rebates, on Friday, April 4, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 5, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Appointments can be scheduled on April 4 and 5 for home and commercial/industrial property owners to bring their 2013 energy utility bills to ESST for a free review and to learn how they can potentially slash their monthly electric bills. Energy bills will be reviewed by appointment only.

Marcel Veronneau, ESST President explained, “Our ambition with these scheduled appointments is to help people understand the financial savings and positive environmental impacts of solar power for commercial and industrial buildings, as well as individual homes. The availability and popularity of solar energy is growing rapidly in Connecticut, and ESST can provide information on the benefits and expenses of solar heating and cooling, and our solar products and installation services capabilities.”

During ESST Open House events in 2013, Veronneau and guest speakers provided attendees with overviews on notable financial benefits of solar investments that result from generous grants, subsidies, and tax benefits from the federal government, states and utility companies to property and home owners. On April 4 and 5, Veronneau will meet with scheduled individuals to provide insights into advances in solar panel efficiency, costs savings of solar power, and why solar photovoltaic (PV) systems are a very attractive investment option.

Veronneau stated that CEFIA, Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority of Connecticut, provides incentives offered by the state through CEFIA’s C-PACE program for commercial and residential building owners. He stated that, “The financial benefits are significant for building and homeowners. A homeowner planning to spend $30,000 for a solar system could apply for grants and receive back approximately $20,000 in incentives. With the potential of utility costs increasing as much as 19% in 2014 alone, solar power could be a very attractive alternative for many commercial property and home owners for many years ahead.”

In 2013, ESST saved an estimated $11,000 in annual costs by installing a 45 KW solar PV system with 182 solar energy panels on the 7,000 square foot rooftop of their building at 233 Mill Street in Waterbury. “Many building owners can save as much, or more, depending on the solar system that would be most efficient for their property,” stated Veronneau.
