Local Artist to Exhibit at The Watermark

On Saturday, December 7, The Watermark at East Hill will host an opening reception for local artist Karen Dickinson, who will be exhibiting her work at the retirement community throughout the month of December. The reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. at The Watermark, located at 611 East Hill Road in Southbury.

Dickinson’s exhibit consists of acrylic paintings, including some presented on non-traditional items such as shovels, wood and metal. In addition to exhibiting her work, Dickinson also serves as an art instructor for Watermark University, a continuing education program offered to keep seniors’ minds and bodies active.

“After helping our residents create beautiful works of art, we are thrilled to have Karen exhibit some of her own work for our residents and guests to enjoy,” said Michelle Bettigole, Executive Director at The Watermark at East Hill. “She is an excellent example of how The Watermark works with the outside community to keep our residents active and engaged in the local art scene.”
