At Patch, we know it's important to pause and recognize the community members who make the neighborhood a better place, each and every day. Who contributed time and effort to planning that great event, or helping out a fellow resident in tough times? Maybe it's that person's positive spirit that impacts the community. Perhaps the person you're thinking of performs one of those "thankless" jobs we just can't live without.

Be sure to fill out all of the fields by 5 p.m. on Dec. 19. At that time, we will take the suggestions and ask readers to weigh in on the nominations. We'll announce the 2012 Oxford Patch Person of the Year soon after.
