Viewfinder: Several Local Organizations Bring Holiday Cheer

See photos of people bringing cheer this holiday season.

Several local organizations have been spreading holiday cheer lately. Take, for example, the organizers of CT Partnership for Children, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting children living in poverty throughout the state. The organization, run by executive director, founder and Oxford native Meghan Tarby, held a breakfast with Santa on Saturday morning to raise money for the children throughout the state.

And local scouts recently collected toys and money for children in need and have been selling trees and wreaths, while Keep Oxford Green, a local political action committee, held a toy drive that collected more than 100 toys for the state police toy drive.

Oxford Patch has been out taking photos of these events, and some have sent us thier photos, which we appreciate. Feel free to send all photos and story ideas to paul.singley@patch.com.

Enjoy the photos! My personal favorite is of the baby on Santa's lap (that's my daughter, Tessa, who is 8 months old).
