Some lucky Litchfield County customer who purchased a Lucky for Life lottery draw game ticket for the June 5, drawing is “$25,000 a year for life” richer — is it you? The Connecticut Lottery is urging everyone to check their tickets.

The following information is from a CT Lottery press release.

The winning numbers on June 5 were 6-7-22-27-29, with the Lucky Ball number of 24. Two tickets, one sold in Connecticut and another in Massachusetts, contained the winning combination for the game’s second prize of $25,000 a year for life.

Across New England, 41,275 winning Lucky for Life tickets were purchased for that date, including 13,002 tickets in Connecticut alone.

Last night’s Lucky match brings the total number of lifetime wins in New England to 27, including 10 wins in Connecticut alone since September 2013.

February's Unclaimed Ticket

Another Lucky for Life second prize win occurred in New Haven County on February 27 and is still unclaimed.  The winning numbers for that date were 8-11-17-24-43 with the Lucky Ball number, 30.

The minimum guaranteed amount a second prize winner could receive is $500,000 — $25,000 a year for 20 years — but winners who live longer than that will receive prize payments for the remainder of their natural life.  The second prize “Cash Option” is worth $390,000.

Because the CT Lottery does not know who the winner is until the prize is claimed, players are urged to check and sign their winning tickets immediately to establish ownership.
