Oxford Plastics Company Is Now Employee-Owned

Owner Ray Seeley could have made more money selling the company to someone else, but instead he did what was best for his workers.

PTA Plastics, a company based on Christian Street, , , has been sold to its employees.

An article in the Longmont Times-Call newspaper in Colorado, where the company has a manufacturing facility near Boulder, said PTA Plastics owner Ray Seeley rejected options that were more profitable for him and created an Employee Stock Ownership Plan that makes the company’s 170 employees, divided about evenly between Oxford and Longmont, its owners.

Seeley told the Colorado newspaper, "Not to sound corny, but there’s more important things in life than money."
