Peachwave Opening in Oxford This Weekend

This ice cream alternative helps locals cool off with a sweet treat without the guilt.

The frozen yogurt trend around the country is making its way into Oxford. Peachwave frozen yogurt is opening at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, in the Great Hill Plaza at the corner of Great Hill Road and Route 67 where Dunkin' Donuts is located.

The Peachwave frozen yogurt parlor is one of the many trendy spots sprouting up all over the country, such as Froyo, Menchie's and Swizzles. The self-service model lets customers choose from more than a dozen flavors of frozen yogurt, mixing them as they please, and paying by the weight rather than the size of the cup.

Although the yogurt ranges from fat free to low fat, the toppings can add a bit of decadence. Along with nuts, fresh fruit and granola, the shop also offers tasty candy bar, cookie and sprinkle toppings, along with a variety of dessert sauces. Also available are non-dairy and sugar-free flavors.

On its Facebook page, Peachwave Oxford says, "With a little luck, we hope to be opening this Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m.  to midnight. Our first round of favors are: Vanilla, Stawberry, White Chocolate, English Toffee, Peanut Butter, Orange, Creme de Menthe, Dole Pineapple, Chocolate, Bubble Gum, Plain Tart, Coffee, Cupcake, Red Velvet, Cookie' N Cream. Any suggestions for the next round?"

The door on the shop states definitively that Saturday at 10 a.m. is the opening time.

Great to see IMTI leading the way into the solar future! I went to that school specifically toRead More become a solar electrician. It was before they had a solar program, at the time it was the E-2 electrical course. I see America has a chance to build prosperity again if we will be forward-looking about our manufacturing and energy strategies. My company, Made In USA Solar LLC, aims to contribute to that in a small way, doing what we can by only installing materials made in USA. Congrats to IMTI on their ambitious solar plans!
