Build-A-Bear Workshop recently recalled Colorful Hearts Teddy bears.
The recalled Colorful Hearts Teddy bears were sold at Build-A-Bear Workshop stores from April to December 2011.
According to the Build-A-Bear Workshop website, certain production runs of the bear used substandard fabric that could tear around the eyes, possibly resulting in the eyes falling out and presenting a potential choking hazard.
Build-A-Bear Workshop issued a safety recall notice of the Colorful Hearts Teddy on its website. The recall was a joint recall between Build-A-Bear Workshop, Health Canada and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, according to a notice on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada websites.
The model number of the Teddy bears impacted by the recall is 017107. The website stated that consumers should return the Colorful Hearts Teddy to their local Build-A-Bear Workshop store.
The bear can then be exchanged for a coupon redeemable for an available animal of their choosing, according to the Build-A-Bear Workshop recall notice.
