$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold in Connecticut on Halloween, Still Unclaimed

Somewhere in Connecticut, someone bought a prize-winning Powerball® ticket for the October 31 drawing.

Editor's Note: The following press release is from the Connecticut Lottery.

Even though there were no jackpot winners in the October 31, 2012, Powerball® drawing, an extra-special Halloween treat was won on one lucky Powerball ticket purchased in Connecticut—a $1,000,000 prize win as a result of matching 5 numbers from the October 31 Powerball drawing.

The winning Powerball numbers drawn on October 31 were 1 - 27 - 31 - 45 - 48.  Connecticut’s winning ticket holder matched the first five numbers, but missed the Powerball number, 5.  In total, 8,615 winning Powerball tickets were sold statewide for that date, with prizes ranging from $4 to $2,000,000.

The million dollar winner has yet to step forward to claim their prize. Connecticut Lottery officials are urging players to check their tickets.

Saturday's Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $124 million. Powerball is drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59pm and is offered at more than 2,700 lottery locations statewide.

The overall odds of winning a Powerball prize are 1 in 31.8 based on a $2.00 play.  Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510 million.

The CT Lottery reminds the public that purchasers must be 18 or older, and to please play responsibly.

Great to see IMTI leading the way into the solar future! I went to that school specifically toRead More become a solar electrician. It was before they had a solar program, at the time it was the E-2 electrical course. I see America has a chance to build prosperity again if we will be forward-looking about our manufacturing and energy strategies. My company, Made In USA Solar LLC, aims to contribute to that in a small way, doing what we can by only installing materials made in USA. Congrats to IMTI on their ambitious solar plans!
