Brandon Giordano Fundraiser Planned at Quassy in August

The popular Oxford High School student died in a car accident in March.

Thousands of dollars were raised , a 15-year-old High School student who died in an automobile accident in March, and now a fundraiser is being planned for a college fund for his brother and sister.

The Valley Independent Sentinel reported that the fundraiser will take place at Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury from 5 to 10 p.m. on Aug. 17, which would have been Brandon’s 16th birthday.

Brandon Giordano was a popular member of the Oxford High School football team. A website has also been set up to honor his memory

Is there a scholarship fund set up to go to Oxford High School students in his name as well?

That's awesome! Was it given out this year or will it start next year?

It will start next year, most likely at the football banquet, but I'm not exactly sure. There are still some final details that need to be worked out.

Why on earth would there be a schlorship fund for his brother and sister? Was Brandon going to send them to college before the horrible accident. A fund for Oxford high students is great, but a fund for his siblings is a bit much.

Its called Brandon Giordano Memorial Fund. It's not called a "scholarship fund" for his brother and sister. It's set up to be used at my discression. And I see no need to do any thing with funds donated other then to benifit my surviving childrens education. What else would u like me to do with the money Janis Jarpin?? Honestly, both funds were set up by other people for myself, Rob, and Esa, and both funds are at OUR DISCRESSION... Its really none of your business and I owe u no explanation either way. But since u question Brandon's after life motives, I felt the need to answer. It's very honorable of the people responsible for setting up both funds, for both reasons, for us. We miss Brandon very much. And I'm sure he is watching over us. My son will always be missed tremendously by us and many MANY others. I've lost my child, money is the last thing ANY OF US are thinking about. Shame on you. By the way, did u expect Brandon to send Oxford High students to college before the horrible accident? Your question is ludacris. May God bless you.

Why you would find the need to even comment on this article is beyond me. This family has suffered and continues to suffer daily from the lost of this young man. His friends continue to miss him especially now that football camps have started. Freedom on Speech is one thing, but come on. There is a scholarship fund established through the Oxford Booster Club in Brandon's name for an OHS student. The community continues to support the Giordano/Borelli family. My family will be at the Celebration.
