Meek Bows Out Leaving 4th District GOP Nod to Obsitnik

Republican Steve Obsitnik will face off against the incumbent Democrat, U.S. Rep. Jim Himes, in the 4th Congressional District.

According to an article by the Connecticut Post, Meek has announced he will not challenge Obsitnik in a primary, leaving Obsitnik, of Westport, to focus on the election race against the Democrat, incumbent U.S. Rep. Jim Himes.

The Post said the other Republican hopeful, Richard Wieland, who failed to get enough delegate votes at the district convention to qualify for a primary, threw his support to Obsitnik earlier in the week.
