Joseph Poulsen of , a member of the Southern Connecticut State University track team, has a new honor in New Brunswick, N.J., in April.
The SCSU Athletic Department web site announced that Poulsen was also named the SCSU/Comcast Athlete of the Month after setting a new school record for the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Larry Ellis Invitational Meet at Princeton University.
Poulsen’s time of 8:58:08 was the first sub-nine minute finish for the 3,000 meter steeplechase in SCSU sports history.
