Ribbons on Sale Through Friday

Get your green and white ribbons in honor of Sandy Hook victims at Town Hall in Oxford.

 

Anyone who wants a green and white ribbon to honor Sandy Hook victims should get them in Oxford before the end of this week.

The Oxford Girl Scouts, who were selling the ribbons, will end the sale at the end of the day this Friday, Jan. 18.

The ribbons, which are $1 apiece, can be purchased in the town clerk's office at the Stephen B. Church Memorial Town Hall during normal hours.

Eight of the girls who died in the Sandy Hook shooting on Dec. 14 were Girl Scout Daises in Newtown; two of the boys who died were sons of Girl Scout leaders in Newtown, said Ann Gamauf, leader of Girl Scouts in Oxford.
