Sandy Hook Families Show Appreciation to Oxford

Families make posters showing their admiration for people in their neighboring town.

The families of the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting on Dec. 14 have made Thank You Posters in appreciation for towns that showed support and kindness during the first weeks after the tragedy. The town of Oxford was asked to display the posters on Valentine's Day.

First Selectman George R. Temple said the town will be honored to put them in all town buildings. The posters say: "Sandy Hook Loves Oxford" and have a big green and white heart on them that stands for the colors of the Sandy Hook Elementary School (see photos attached). Temple also said the posters were distributed to the EMS, police department, fire department, schools, and to merchants in town.
