The pastoral team at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Oxford has cancelled all services for tomorrow (Sunday).
In a news release, the church said that it is complying with suggestions from Gov. Dannel Malloy and the town of Oxford to remain indoors and safe during Hurricane Irene.
Beacon Falls Congregational Church, which receives about 20 percent of its membership from Oxford, will also not have service.
