As a key part of the Roman Catholic devotion during Lent, St. Thomas
the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Road, will observe the Stations of the Cross on
Friday evenings starting at 7 p.m. March 11 through April 15.
The object of the Stations is to help the faithful make a spiritual pilgrimage
death (His Passion).
These will be communal; following a guide book entitled "The Way of the Cross."
Parishioners including a leader and those representing Jesus, members of the
Sanhedrin, Roman soldier, Simon, Veronica and Joseph of Arimathea will provide passionate readings. These will be accompanied by a backdrop of music
composed/orchestrated and played by two young accomplished musicians on piano, oboe and violin.
All are welcome. Come and take part in this one hour time of prayer and
meditation.
