Sandy Hook Promise took its message to the public on Jan. 14, 2013 — one month to the day from the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School that claimed the life of 20 children and six educators and served as the catalyst for the organization.
Formerly known as Newtown United, the group is dedicated to common sense changes that will prevent another tragedy from ever happening again.
