Water Main Break Affects Oxford Residents

The main break was reported around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in downtown Seymour. It was reportedly fixed last night.

 

A water main break in the center of Seymour caused several Oxford residents to be without water in Oxford Sunday. 

The water main break was expected to be repaired between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, Jan. 6, said Oxford Fire Chief Scott Pelletier.

He said the break, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. near the Strand Theater in downtown Seymour, is being repaired by Aquarian Water Co. The main break is affecting homes in the Southwest part of town. It is also affecting the town of Beacon Falls and has shut down a portion of Route 67.
