Delight Your Guests with Vintage Oxford Recipes from the Historical Society Cookbook Collection

The Oxford Historical Society invites holiday meal planners to look through its collection of vintage cookbooks and to copy recipes to serve at family gatherings during November.

The group has gathered a variety of local cookbooks published by the Junior Women's Club, local churches, the Oxford Garden Club and the Oxford P. T. O.  Several antique commercial cookbooks including "The White House Cookbook" used by former resident Jessie Dunn, who was a chef at Oronoque Orchards, will also be available.  Visitors are encouraged to browse and copy dishes to try.  Paper and note cards will be provided.  Refreshments will be served.

The museum is also displaying a collection of antique toys loaned by Louise Burr and Eleanor Sturgis.
