The Oxford Land Trust will hold it's 24th Annual Member's Meeting on Friday evening, November 30th, 7pm, at the Oxford Town Hall. The feature slide presentation of the evening will be "Wildlife and Connecticut's Changing Landscape", presented by Master Wildlife Conservationist Tom Zissu of the Connecticut Sept. of Environmental Protection. Woodbury resident Mr Zissu is also an active member of the, Western Connecticut Bird Club and has had a life long interest in nature.
This program is free and is open to the public. Refreshments will be served following the talk.

I see America has a chance to build prosperity again if we will be forward-looking about our manufacturing and energy strategies. That is looking at the Constitution as a dead piece of paper instead of a living document. Living…Read More Constitutions read as if they were written yesterday not over 250 years ago. Is the Constitution living or dead. When common sense and ordinary circumstances show that the words of the Constitution no longer apply then the document is dead. That is what occurs when weapons/arms have become so powerful and dangerous that having them available in the numbers you have in this country is tantamount to ultimate murder and chaos. This is definitely not what the Framers had in mind as shown by the words prefacing the 2nd amendment referring to a militia.
