"Visions of Tomorrow" Children's Art Exhibit

The Sandy Hook Arts Center for Kids in partnership with Bear Givers is proud to present "Visions of Tomorrow," a Children's Art Exhibit and benefit at The S.H.A.C.K.

"Visions of Tomorrow" symbolizes a new beginning for Sandy Hook. Through their artwork, local children will share their hopes and dreams for the future.

Bid on children's artwork, enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres provided by Sandy Hook Deli, live music by Guy Tino featuring Alison Kellogg and help empower local children to give back to their community through their art.

Radio 104.1 will broadcast live under our tent provided by Durkin's Awnings.

Bear Givers is a non-profit organization committed to bringing joy to the lives of children with the gift of a teddy bear. Their "EmpowerArt" program enables children to experience the joy and pride of creating art, seeing it showcased and sold at a special exhibit, and making a meaningful contribution to their community.

The children are the stars of the opening reception. Their pride and excitement at seeing their artwork professionally framed, displayed, admired, and sold builds their self-esteem and gives them a sense of accomplishment.

Children are invited to The S.H.A.C.K. to paint their artwork on Mondays & Fridays from 3:30-5:30p.m each week in February, March & April in the weeks leading up to the exhibit. When their piece is completed it will be professionally framed and displayed at The S.H.A.C.K.

Parents, friends and the community are invited to the opening exhibit on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 3:00-7:00p.m. to bid on the artwork, enjoy refreshments and live music. All proceeds will go to benefit The S.H.A.C.K.

Thank you to our sponsors New Fairfield Press for their continued support of the S.H.A.C.K.
