Find the Makings for a Vintage Holiday Celebration at the Twitchell-Rowland Homestead

The Oxford Historical Society invites holiday meal planners to look through its collection of local vintage cookbooks and to copy recipes to serve at family gatherings during November and December.  Docent led tours of the 1755 saltbox will also be available at this time.

The Oxford Historical Society has gathered a variety of cookbooks published by the Junior Women's Club, area churches, the Oxford Garden Club and the Oxford P. T. O.  Several commercial cookbooks including "The White House Cookbook" used by former resident Jessie Dunn, who was chef at Oronoque Orchards, will also be available.  Visitors are encouraged to browse and to select dishes to try.  Paper and note cards will be provided.  Refreshments will be served.
