concerns expressed.

- traffic hazards as child are dropped off and picked up at schools;

peers on buses, playgrounds, and when there is a lack of strong supervision in
the classroom; - the lack of police presence at our schools; speeding on roads in
residential areas; and more. - One participant,
Molly Turchuk, spoke after the meeting, saying, ”This was amazing to hear so many parents talk and
discover that many of us share equal worries about the safety of our children
in Oxford.”
As a result of the first meeting, the “Oxford Forum on Child
Safety” (OFOCS)was formed. Now a second such forum is being planned
for Thursday, February 13, 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
