A friend of the Brooks family has set up a PayPal account that is connected to the Wells Fargo Memorial Fund for Lily. Donations will automatically go into that account. People can send checks to the bank (see the process below in the original article) or pay via a checking account or credit card through the secure PayPal site. If you don't have an account, sign up and search for Lily Brooks Memorial Fund. Note: This is a secure site, so we cannot link directly to it.
People in the Oxford community are reaching out to the family of 3-year-old Lily Brooks, a local girl who died tragically over the weekend after being involved in a motor vehicle collision on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Friends of the family have set up the Lily Brooks Memorial Fund through Wells Fargo Bank. Anyone wishing to donate should make their checks out to “Lily Brooks Memorial Fund." Tax deductible donations can be mailed to Wells Fargo Bank, 11 Klarides Village Drive, Seymour, CT, 06483.
This fund has been established to aid the family in this time of need.
Also, employees at the Stephen B. Church Memorial Town Hall are collecting donations, such as grocery store gift cards, or other gift cards, to aid the Brooks family. Joanne Pelton, aide to First Selectman George Temple, said she will collect the donations at Town Hall and deliver them to the Rev. John Donnelly at Christ Church Quaker Farms. Pelton said Donnelly will act as a liaison to get the donations to the family.
