Volunteers Will Once Again Build Center School Playground

Volunteers are sought to rebuild the playground, which was built in memory of an Oxford girl who died at age 6 in 1985.

It was built 27 years ago by a group of dedicated volunteers from Oxford. Now, a new flock of dedicated Oxford volunteers will rebuild a playground for children in honor of a hometown child taken too soon.

And they are looking for help.

Volunteers are needed to rebuild the playground at Oxford Center School this weekend. The old playground was built in 1985 in memory of the late Rachel Roman, an OCS student who died that year at age 6. Her parents, Ed and Pam, are on the committee that is rebuilding it. The new playground will also be dedicated in her memory.
