Kid Friendly Church is a Blessing

Be it our Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, Mission Work or Family Nights and Celebrations- Christ Church is a place where kids learn, grow, laugh and are free to be kids!

Several years ago when our kids were very young we found it difficult for us to go to church on Sunday’s.  Trying to keep the little ones occupied was difficult.  Outburst, casual question and conversation were often met by fellow church goers with looks of distain for the disruption.  The straw that broke the camel’s back for us was when my youngest dropped his bottle and two people in front of us turn and shushed us. This difficulty quickly became an unfortunate excuse not go to church.  We realized that both our kids and ourselves were missing out.  We needed to find a “Kid Friendly Church”

Friends convinced us to give Christ Church Quaker Farms a try.  During our first service there we saw a young child about two, jump from his seat and run to the altar mid sermon.  The Priest, without as much of a blink, quickly picked up the child and held him for the remainder of his sermon.  The Priest truly appreciated how comfortable the child was in approaching him and it was evident that this church was one that not only tolerated kids but cherished their presence and participation.

Years have now past and Priests have changed but one thing has remained.  Kids are what make Christ Church.  Our new Priest has taken a comfortable environment for kids and turned it into an environment where my kids wake us up on Sunday’s to go to church.  Be it our Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, Mission Work or Family Nights and Celebrations- Christ Church is a place where kids learn, grow, laugh and are free to be kids!  I am glad we came back to church when we did and I am glad we came to Christ Church and would like to thank the Staff and Volunteers of Christ Church for filling a void that was missed.

Great to see IMTI leading the way into the solar future! I went to that school specifically toRead More become a solar electrician. It was before they had a solar program, at the time it was the E-2 electrical course. I see America has a chance to build prosperity again if we will be forward-looking about our manufacturing and energy strategies. My company, Made In USA Solar LLC, aims to contribute to that in a small way, doing what we can by only installing materials made in USA. Congrats to IMTI on their ambitious solar plans!
