Preview of 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying' at Oxford High School

The Wolverine Players will succeed in this musical satire

The Oxford High School Wolverine Players will present the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying March 14 - 16 in the high school auditorium. The show is directed by Stephen Dest, with musical direction by Greg Bell.

This musical is a satire of big business and all it holds sacred. HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook called "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive, tackling such familiar but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant "company man," the office party, backstabbing co-workers, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love.

The Wolverine Players are in their sixth year and have many awards and recognitions from previous shows including “Into the Woods”, “Grease”, “West Side Story” and most recently “Guys and Dolls.”

Performances will be on Thursday and Friday, March 14-15 at 7:30pm and Saturday, March 16 at 2pm.  Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $8.00 for students and seniors.

“How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” is a book by  Abe Burrows and Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert, music and lyrics by  Frank Loesser is based on the book How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying by Shepherd Mead.

Tickets are available for all performances at www.showtix4u.com or by calling Oxford High School at 203-888-2468

This article seems to be nothing more than an anonymous and free infomercial for Staples.Read More "J" posted this same spam "article" on Patch sites in many towns, just changing the name of the town to match the Patch site. That seems to be the spirit of Staples, free-loading in every way they can. Even this "teacher program" has nothing to do with eliminating the need for teachers to spend their own money on school supplies --it is simply a way for that retailer to take advantage of the situation by attracting the lucrative teacher market. Staples should change their name to MADE IN CHINA OFFICE SUPPLIES, as virtually nothing they sell is manufactured in our country.
