Obituary: Charles W. Webb, 90, Formerly of Oxford

Mr. Webb was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations.

 

Charles W. Webb, age 90 of Woodbridge and also former longtime Oxford, CT, and Rotunda West, FL, resident entered into peaceful rest December 9, 2012 at St. Raphael Hospital, New Haven. He was the beloved husband of 65 years to Carol (Krupski) Webb. Mr. Webb was born November 16, 1922 in Suscon, PA., son of the late Dr. William and Denise (Fabian) Webb. He was retired from the Kerite Co., Seymour. Charles was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations; he was also a member of the David S. Miles Post 174 and the Rotunda West American Legion posts. Mr. Webb enjoyed house and yard work and travel with his wife.

In addition to his wife, Charles leaves his loving son, Keith Webb and his wife Elizabeth of Oxford, a sister, Audrey Turek of Waterbury, and his close nieces and nephews, Diane Gamache and her husband Ron of Northford, Richard Averill and his wife Rosalie of Seymour, and Karen Brennan and her husband Michael of Grapevine, TX.

Funeral services in celebration of Charles' life will be Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour.
