Obituary: Lily Brooks, 3, of Oxford

Lily loved to run and dance, had a child's gift for curiosity and the desire to learn all she could.

Lily Ann Brooks, 3, of Oxford, beloved daughter of Jonathan and Amy (Williams) Brooks and sister of Sebastian Jacob Brooks, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

She was born on July 28, 2010 in Derby. An absolute joy to her family, Lily had a passion for everything. She loved to run and dance, had a child’s gift for curiosity and the desire to learn all that she could. She was an amazing big sister and treasured daughter who will be dearly missed by everyone.

In addition to her parents and brother, she is survived by her maternal grandparents, Ralph, Jr. and Barbara Williams of New Milford; paternal grandparents, Kevin and Jennie Brooks of Danbury; her aunt, Ashley Williams of Japan; her uncles, Ralph Williams, III and his wife Priscilla of New Milford; Jeff Brooks of Watertown; as well as several other relatives.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, 11 a.m. at Christ Church Quaker Farms, 470 Quaker Farms Road, Oxford. Lily’s family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 4-6 p.m. also at Christ Church Quaker Farms.
