Obituary: Michelle Ann DeBarber, 46

Michelle Ann DeBarber Cox, age 46, born on Jan. 18, 1967, passed away suddenly at home in Seymour with her loving husband Raymond and her dogs that were her babies Lucky and Spencer on Sept. 14, 2013.

She was a wonderful big-hearted wife, daughter, sister and aunt. Her family and friends knew her for her big heart and crafty style.

Michelle was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd. She was employed as a cook at Double R Mobil of Oxford for the past five years. She enjoyed doing crafts, cooking and celebrating Halloween and Christmas. Michelle had a passion for NASCAR racing and her favorite race driver was Bobby La Bonte. She will be greatly missed.

Michelle was the daughter of the late David R. DeBarber and Ada M. Atwood DeBarber.  She leaves her husband of 17 years Raymond J. Cox Jr., sister Melissa DeBarber Gilmour, brothers Matthew DeBarber and his wife Tracy, John DeBarber and his wife Laura, brothers-in-law Anthony and Kimberly Cox, Danny and Christina Cox, and Richard Cox, nieces Isabella Gilmour, Chloe Gilmour, Ashley DeBarber, nephews John DeBarber, William Gilmour and close friend Kelly Yustin who was like a sister to her and nephew Noah Yustin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday Sept. 20, 2013 (DIRECTLY) at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road Seymour.

Burial in the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery Seymour will follow.  Friends and relatives may call at Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (Route 67, across from Klarides Village), Seymour, on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial gifts in Michelle's memory may be made to her husband Raymond J. Cox Jr. through the funeral home.
