Obituary: Priscilla Elizabeth Ottowell, 65, of Oxford

Mrs. Ottowell was president of PC Associates, Tax Accountants of Oxford

 

Priscilla Elizabeth Ottowell, age 65, of Oxford, beloved wife of Carl Ottowell for  21 years, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at  Griffin Hospital, Derby, unexpectedly surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on January 29, 1947, the daughter of the late John and Genevieve  Cossette Gordon.  She was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church of Oxford. Priscilla was the president  of PC Associates, Tax Accountants of Oxford. She was the former Controller and Assistant Treasurer of First Connecticut Capital of Shelton and was a member of its Board of Directors. Priscilla was a Certified Internal Revenue Service Representative. She was also a member of the Auxiliary of the David S. Miles Post No.174 American Legion of Oxford. She will be sadly missed by her family and  friends and especially her grandson Jacob Kaplan.

In addition to her beloved husband Carl, her loving family includes  her caring  son George S. Cleary of Naugatuck, a devoted daughter Denise D. Kaplan of Oxford, her loving sister Bonita G. Matthews of Seymour, a cherished grandson Jacob Kaplan of Oxford; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved son Patrick L. Cleary.

 A Prayer Service in Celebration of Priscilla's life will be offered at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2013 in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Rt. 67, across from Klarides Village), Seymour, with Father Dominic Valla, Pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Church officiating.  Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00  p.m. until  8:00 p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in memory of  Priscilla may be made to the David S. Miles Post No.174, American Legion,43 Oxford Rd. (Rt. 67) Oxford,CT 06478. The Members and Auxiliary of the David S. Miles Post No.174, American Legion will honor her by offering a service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
