CHRISTMAS IN OXFORD - TREE LIGHTING

On Friday, December 6th, the Oxford Parks and Recreation Commission is once again hosting the annual, Town Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Oxford Town Hall.  Come join the Great Oak School Band and Choir, along with the Center School Chorus as they perform Christmas Carols.   There will be refreshments, a photo booth, and prizes for the children.  Sadly we lost our beautiful, tall town tree to the storms last season, but we look forward to ringing in the holiday season with our NEW (albeit small) town tree. After our own little Charlie Brown town tree is illuminated, there will be a special visit from Santa!  Festivities begin at 6:00pm.  This is a fun evening for the whole family!  Come one, come all!  We will also be accepting donations of new, unopened items for the Toys for Kids organization, which services children of all ages throughout our area.  Please give so those who are less fortunate may also have a happy holiday!  If weather on 12/6 is questionable, call our hotline after 3:00 on that day to hear recording.  The number is 203 888-2543,  Press 3, then press 1 to hear message.   You may also check our website: www.oxfordrec.com for updates.
