Don't believe the hype....

Is there any limit to how low Dave and Carb will go?   Apparently not...  They say "We shouldn't spend money we don't have."  Funny I don't recall them saying that when we built the field. What they did say is that the prior field was an embarrassment to the town and we needed to build a new field immediately.  There was no talk about waiting until ED kicked in and we got some growth in the grand list.  Furthermore they said that they field would only cost the average taxpayer about $0.09 per day so why were we even bothering to discuss it. Interestingly, the cost to implement FDK works out to be approximately the same cost per day as the field.  Over 90% of the towns in CT will be offering FDK next year.  Why don't the children of Oxford deserve the same.  Your argument in favor of the field was that every other town we played had a nice field so the kids in Oxford deserve the same.  Why does that not hold true now?
