Full Day Kindergarten an Update

Last night the BOE held a meeting and elected to remove funding for full day kindergarten.
The meeting was held on a day in which school was cancelled and it makes me wonder why did it take place and who paid to have the school opened and heated?
The meeting was not posted for the public to be attend and the dates on the Oxford Government website do not list a meeting as taking place, (Schedule from the website show the 25th as the next date, see below)  is this legal?
David Stocker the head of the Republican Party in Oxford has called Full Day Kindergarten a day care. Another member is bringing shame to our town as someone who is being investigated for bullying coaches and children.

As an independent who leans republican this is not what we expect from our elected officials and not what many of us voted for.

I encourage you to contact George Temple  , (203) 888-2543 x3012.and the Board and ask what was the logic in putting Oxford at distinct disadvantage?  The beautiful thing about democracy is our officials work for us and it is time to let them know how you feel.
