GE Power Plant

I do not think this project fits our town and presents the possibility of a serious accident. The taxes we will gain does not change the fact that as our highest tax payer GE will own this town. We will be told that GE tax money will build a grammer school and a library. Thats what we were told 15 years ago when a grass rootrs group of parents pushed for a high school. Notice we built it without the power plant. I was the first selectman that forced the Republicans to vote on Oxford High without the power plant. We voted 3 times on the 3rd vote we lost by 7 votes. The very Republicans that opposed the vote now take all the credit.
