Dark Day at Oxford's Dark Horse Saloon

Two Seymour residents arrested following fight Thursday afternoon.

A bar fight at in Oxford Thursday led to the arrest of two Seymour residents.

At approximately 4 p.m., the Oxford Resident Trooper's Office was dispatched to a disturbance at the bar at 35 Old State Road, according to a police news release. Upon arrival, police saw a bar fight between two males in progress. Both parties were arrested for causing fight-related injuries to other customers; the news release did not state what the extent of their injuries.

Sotirios Gerasimopoulos, 28, of 84 Bank St., Seymour, was arrested for two counts of second-degree threatening and third-degree assault. He was released on a $15,000 surety bond and was supposed to appear at Derby Superior Court on Friday.

Tom Szleszynski, 23, of 109 Davis St., Seymour, was arrested for breach of peace and third-degree assault and was given a $5,000 non-surety bond with a court appearance scheduled for Derby Superior Court on May 13.
