Police: Dodging $34 Cab Fare Leads to Court Date for Oxford Woman

The following arrest information was supplied by the Oxford Resident Trooper's Office. It does not indicate a conviction.

A $34 cab fare that police say a local woman didn’t want to pay may end up costing her a lot more in court.

Candy Gliszczynski, 37, of 479 Chestnut Tree Hill Road, told a cab driver to drop her off in front of her house around 7:19 a.m. Wednesday and then refused to pay the $34 cab fee, said Oxford Resident State Trooper David Hare.

The cab driver called police, and Hare charged Gliszczynski with sixth-degree larceny, a Class C misdemeanor. She is scheduled to be arraigned at Derby Superior Court on July 11.
