Eric Ramirez Case Continued

The defendant's attorney says the 20-year-old is "devastated."

Eric Ramirez did not speak a word during his first court appearance this morning.

The 20-year-old Oxford resident, who is facing multiple charges in relation to the March 9 car crash that resulted in the death of Brandon Giordano, walked into court with his parents by his side.

He did not enter a plea and the case was continued to Oct. 25. The reason for the lengthy continuance, according to Ramirez' attorney, Tara Knight, is due to the volume of material in the case file.
