According to police, a freestanding front-loading fireplace exploded at the party on the 2700 block of Broadway in Upper Moreland, setting the man on fire. Investigators say someone had poured gasoline onto the fire to get the wet logs to burn.

Troisi had just returned to his hometown of Warminster on Thursday night, according to the ABC report.

Troisi graduated from Archbishop Wood High School in 2001.

May you all be at peace knowing that Pasquale passed away. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves with the things you said, insinuated, and argued about while Pasquale was fighting to live. How dare you. I've never seen such idiocracy! Those who decided to mock, judge, name call, and add pain to this family, might want to say a prayer for a grieving family.

Looking at most of the comments, because I was done reading the stupid ones...he fought for his country, came home and died in an accident...it doesn't natter the exact street address, the acts of others or anything else. He defended us, came home finally and died here. It is so sad. He deserves all the respect all Americans have.

Our hearts are truly broken to hear that RP2 Pasquale Troisi has passed away leaving behind his loving family, fiancee, children and so many friends. My husband, CDR Val J. Jensen and Pasquale served together during their deployment with the Marines to Iraq in 2005 and 2006. Pasquale was my husband's bodyguard and his assistant as his Religious Program Specialist. Both of them were an "Energy Team" because you could see how well they worked together to provide support for their fellow Marines and Sailors while serving in Iraq and upon their return to Camp Pendleton. They had a great sense of humor especially when it came to football season. The Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles were a favorite topic as to who would end up with a winning season. Pasquale always spoke highly and lovingly of his family and we knew that they were supportive of him as he served God and his country. How deeply saddened we are to hear this tragic news. We extend our deepest love and sympathy for his dear family, fiancee and children. Those little ones were the pride in his eyes. Pasquale always exhibited his concern for the welfare of those with whom he served. We consider it an honor to have been in his presence during our time together and he will be sorely missed. Our love and our prayers are extended to all who are grieving over this terrible, tragic loss. CDR and Mrs. Val J. Jensen (Kate), CHC, USN(Ret), Kristen Clark-Hassell and Val II
