One man is dead Sunday morning following a fatal car accident on Route 8 in Waterbury near the Naugatuck line, state police said.
The man was driving northbound when the accident occurred in the right lane around 4 a.m. just before the Exit 30 off-ramp in Waterbury, said State Police Public Information Trooper Kelly Grant.
Grant said no further information was available as of Sunday morning, and that state police were not releasing the man’s name yet because the next of kin had yet to be notified.
The accident remains under investigation.
