Police continue to search for suspects in a home burglary that occurred on Chestnut Tree Hill Road this week.
The homeowner believes the incident occurred sometime between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when someone forced entry through a basement window and stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry, according to a police report.
Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call the Oxford Resident Trooper's Office at 203.888.4353. All calls will be kept confidential.
An Oxford police officer stopped a local man wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants while conducting traffic enforcement on Route 67 last weekend.
Officer Gary Soules noticed 22-year-old William Kirhoffer, Jr., drive by and Soules knew that Kirhoffer was wanted for outstanding larceny charges stemming from an April incident that occurred on Christian Street, according to a police report.
Soules pulled over the car Kirhoffer was driving and charged Kirhoffer, of 15 Thorson Road, with first-degree criminal trespass.
