Oxford Woman Charged With DUI After Crash

Vehicle sustained heavy damage after striking over 100 feet of wire guardrail.

Renee Baker, 35, of Oxford, was charged with DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane on August 16 at approximately 11:55 p.m. 

According to police, Baker crashed her vehicle into approximately 150 feet of wire rope guardrail on Interstate 84 west near exit 16 in Middlebury. The vehicle sustained severe damage to the left front end, rear bumper and the left front tire was missing. Baker was uninjured, according to police.

Baker was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on August 28.
