Police: Oxford Boy Shoots Men With BB-Gun

The incident occurred on Sunday on Larkey Road.

Police arrested a 13-year-old local boy who they say shot two men with what police describe as a rifle-type BB-gun.

Around 7 p.m. Sunday, police were called to 16 Larkey Road where two men, ages 18 and 20, said they were walking up the road when someone shot at them with a BB-gun, according to a police report. The men sustained minor injuries to their legs from the BBs, the report states.

The boy, whose name was not released because of his age, was charged with two counts of third-degree assault and two counts of breach of peace. He was released to his parents and promised to appear at Waterbury Juvenile Court on Nov. 11.
