The 55-year-old man was pulled from the river Friday night.

The man who Shelton emergency crews pulled from the Housatonic River on Friday night has died.

The 55-year-old man, whose identity has not yet been released, died Saturday at Yale-New Haven hospital, according to an article by the Connecticut Post. He had originally been transported to Griffin Hospital following the boating accident on the Housatonic River, and was listed in critical condition at that time.

The man was one of three aboard a boat that reportedly struck an object near the Sunnyside boat ramp just before 7 p.m. on Dec. 7. The accident remains under investigation by the state Department of Environmental and Energy Protection.

was this that bunch of rocks somewhere out there? I seem to remember someone commenting here on that story from two summers ago when the over loaded boat hit the shore and threw a bunch of people into the woods. I though a couple people said there's a big rock or something that you need to go around but if you don't know the lake, its easy to hit.
